It starts with that first look, when you know you have to have him…Francesca Arno has been commissioned to create a grand centerpiece painting for the lobby of Ian Noble’s new skyscraper. It’s at a cocktail party in her honor that she first meets him—and the attraction is immediate for Francesca. It’s also bewildering. She’s not used to such a wholesale sexual response to a stranger. Enigmatic, darkly intense, with a commanding presence, Ian completely unnerves her. And she likes it.

For Ian, she’s the kind of woman he can’t resist—one that comes all too rarely: a true innocent. But he can sense in her a desire to open up, to experiment, to give herself to the fantasies of a man in control. The first kiss, the first caress, the first challenge for a woman who craves what she’s never had—a man who gets what he wants.
WARNING: This is an ADULT EROTICA ROMANCE. Due to the nature of the story, explicit language and sexual content this book is recommended for mature audiences only (18 and up).

Because You Tempt Me was a great introduction to Beth Kery’s new novella series, Because You Are Mine. This short little read was like a preview to a movie you’ve been dying to see. Pegged as the next Fifty Shades of Grey / Bared to You, Because of You tells the tale of a young female student who embarks on an intense and passionate love affair with a young and dominating billionaire.

As the first installment of this series, Because You Temp Me was actually very short (only two chapters) but did a great job introducing the main characters. Fine arts graduate student, Francesca Arno, is young and innocent and doesn’t really fit in the world of Ian Noble. While he’s rich and powerful, Francesca is struggling student/artist. Their first meeting wasn’t something too memorable but there definitely was mutual attraction. Francesca is definitely attracted to Ian's enigmatic persona and Ian is lured by Francesca’s innocence and beauty.

"He was a reluctant dom, perhaps, but a full-blown sexual dominant nonetheless."

Since this was only two chapters, not much action goes one but there was definitely one scene that stood out and boy was it hot. Like Christian Grey, Ian Noble has a special room in his condo that holds specials his special toys. He’s got very specific tastes when it comes to satisfying his sexual needs and he goes out to make sure that he’s got the right toys to help him out, even if he’s flying solo.

Because You Tempt Me ended too soon right when things were getting hot and heavy with Francesca and Ian. I knew this was going to be a short read but I wasn’t expecting it to be only two chapters long. I just wished that the publisher would have set this installment at 99 cents instead of $1.99. I’m hoping that the next few installments will be a little longer but I’m definitely intrigued by the characters so far and can’t wait for part two to be released next Tuesday.

I wasn't sure what or how to rate this because it was only the first two chapters. I did like what I read but without seeing the whole picture the current rating could fluctuate as each week passes by. For now I'm actually giving this a 3.5/5 rating.

  5. It's always hard to rate and decide how good something is with the snippets, but at least you get an idea of if you want to read any further. Kinda like a test-drive relationship before the commitment...wait, that's a date. You know what I mean!

  7. It sounds great, but too bad it's so short. Perhaps, I better wait for more instalments to be published and read it then.

  8. I've gotten to where I check the length of the book before deciding if I want to buy it for the price because I've been startled too often by abrupt endings (not that check is always a fail safe since some are guilty of those ads at the back being included in the length of ebooks).

Sounds like a good series though.
