Feature & Follow is a weekly meme hosted by, Parajunkee and Alison Can Read. Each week, each host will have their own Feature Blog which allows them to show off more new blogs! It is a fun way to keep in touch with fellow bloggers, meet new bloggers and gain new followers.
Answer: My cousin Braine and I have been avid readers for quite sometime. It wasn't until last spring that we decided to start this blog. We honestly just needed another avenue to express our feelings about the books we'd just read. It was hard typing all of our thoughts in the tiny keyboards of our cellphones because we literally were blowing each other up with text messages talking about, "OMG! You have to read this book." or "Oh, shit the vampires in this series are hot." or "Fuck Me, I'm going mental over this fallen angel."This Week's QuestionWhat drove you to start book blogging in the first place?
We both knew that there was a healthy dose of book blogs out there but we had no idea how big of a behemoth the book blogging community was. It was fantastic finding all these sites that shared the same amount of passion (or more) for reading. It got us even more excited about starting up our blog even if we only had five followers. We've now been blogging for a year and we couldn't be happier. We've met some really fantastic folks on our blog, twitter, Facebook and Goodreads that have made this experience twenty time better that what we had expected.
So tell us, what made you start blogging?

I was shocked too just how big the Blogging community was and excited too. Because I knew I was in the right spot with my love for books.

Oh, now I'm jealous. I had no one to talk to about my book obsession. Well, I had my hubby, but he wasn't so fond about our "book talk" time, haha. Great job on your blog then. A year and you're doing great :0) New follower. You can find my FF here.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely story. I mean, textmessaging your cousin about books? Love it!

Doesn't it always start with an innocent book addiction to needing to share all things good and bad. lol That was how mine started. I really do enjoy sharing my views on books and recommending great reads.
ReplyDeleteI never really had anyone to talk to about my love of reading until I started doing so on the internet.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to know why I started a book-blog, please hop on over to my FF post and see for yourself.
Have a great weekend! (old follower)
It is very nice having a "partner-in-crime" to blog with ;-)
ReplyDeleteI tend to get all worked up over books, and I really needed an outlet to let it all out, lol! None of my friends in RL read the same books as I do, so it's awesome I have a way to discuss these books now!
Happy Friday :)
Haha I love the reason why you started book blogging, I was surprised as well how huge and welcoming the book community is. I started my blog a month ago and I've met a lot of great people. It's awesome you have someone to share your love of books with, I started my blog for that reason because no one offline shares my love.

When I first started I had no clue the book blogging community was huge. It kind of shocked me when I was looking into it because I wanted to start a blog.

I fell asleep and no one reminded me of FF :( as a matter of fact lol, I didn't even remember it until this morning when I checked my email to see my Talk Supe email for FF and I was like OH MY GOD!!! I forgot FF and that's an easy question. I started bloggin because all my friends were doing it and so I didn't want to feel left out. Sometimes when I'm feeling overwhelming with writing reviews *sigh* I remember that without blogging I wouldn't have met you two Cimmaron & Braine and all the my other favorite blogger buddies, that my favorite thing about bloggin is building friendships worldwide, that can last forever.......or at least until Christian, or Gideon or Knight sweeps me off my Christian Louboutin wearing feet (well once he buys them for me) but no worries because once I'm knocked up I'll have plenty of time for bloggin while he's out there making that Scrilla!!! <3
ReplyDeleteHey there! I just started following you!
