Answer:This Week's Question:You are a matchmaker — your goal, hook up two characters from two of your favorite books. Who would it be? How do you think it would go?
WHOAH! Could my first Feature & Follow question be any harder? I literally have been trying to come up with answer for the last half-hour. After not being able to come up with one by sitting in front of my laptop I finally had to sit in front of my bookshelf to get some inspiration or ideas.
Most of my favorite characters are already paired up really well and I wouldn't want to mess those relationships up. Then I saw my J.R Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood collection and Butch's book, Lover Revealed, caught my eye. As soon as Butch started to bond with the Brothers and not want to kill or arrest my man Wrath, I knew that I would end up liking the Caldwell cop with a Boston accent. I wasn't too enthusiastic over the female vampire he was paired up with so if I could play matchmaker for a day I would want to hook him up with Betsy Taylor from Mary Janice Davidson's Undead series. Why Betsy? Because like Butch, Betsy has an affinity for the finer things in life, especially designer shoes. Jimmy Choo, Prada, Ferragamo, Minolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin -- she loves them all. Ever since Butch started rolling with the Brotherhood, he instantly took a liking to wearing designer duds and shoes.
These two characters are such a hoot that I would just love to see them walking around the Mall of America shopping for outfits talking in their Bostonian and Minnesotan accents. And since they're both new to the whole "Vampire" life, I think watching them adjust would be entertaining.

First time and such a hard question! I did stare at my own bookshelves for a while on this one. New follower, mine is here http://fictionflaire.blogspot.in/2012/05/follow-friday.html
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Varsha. New follower to you blog!
DeleteHopping through. New follower! Welcome to FF. I really need to catch up on BDB. I've only read the first three. I want to know what more happens.

Thanks for stopping by Anna. New follower to your blog. Happy Reading!
DeleteI love love Betsy! Of course I thought the last book stunk so much I don't know if I can finish the series. :(

Angela's Anxious Life
I know. The last book was MEH for me as well. I know a new book is coming out later this month but I won't be running to the book store to grab a copy. I'm hoping that if the series continues that Betsy will mature a little more but stay humorous.
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
I've not read Betsy, but I am sure she would be a great match for Butch!! Love you picked Butch, he is one of my fave Brothers, so loyal and smexi:D
ReplyDeleteMichelle
Michelle you would love Betsy. She kinda reminds me of Alexa from Parasol Protectorate but just not as smart, mature or articulate. HAHAHA! Ok….so maybe they're not really similar but she's a hoot and you'll howl at her shenanigans.
DeleteI love your new header! Hey - Butch with anyone but Marissa would be great!
ReplyDeleteLOLOL! That's funny! ;)
DeleteI don't understand how Butch ended up with her. He's so charismatic and she's so plain and boring like white bread.
DeleteI'm a shy guy so I would be loathe to match make any characters lest they come to visit me angrily! I mean how have most of your blind dates turned out? I truly am in awe of your new header: great job, Roland
ReplyDeleteThanks Roland! Braine & I are in love with our new header.
DeleteI'm not crazy about Marissa either LOL. New follower! My Follow
ReplyDeleteObviously, Marissa isn't very popular with BDB fans. LOL! Butch deserves someone as funny as exciting as him. Thanks for stopping by and I'm a new follower to your blog :D
DeleteI just started the BDB series Book #1 literally and haven't read the other series... but they both sound great! Love the new design!

Lauren :)
Thanks Lauren! I liked your answer. I liked how you paired two annoying people together. Maybe being around each other will show them how bad they are or just die from annoyance :D
DeleteI agree, I had a hard time, I think if characters are memorable, they are already paired well.
ReplyDeleteI’m following you now from Follow Friday, and to follow me back, check out My Follow Friday post
