Waiting on Wednesday #12

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Once the seeds of desire are sown . . .
Finally free of her suffocating marriage, widow Daisy Ellis Craigmore is ready to embrace the pleasures of life that have long been denied her. Yet her new-found freedom is short lived. A string of unexplained murders has brought danger to Daisy's door, forcing her to turn to the most unlikely of saviors . . .

Their growing passion knows no bounds . . .
Ian Ranulf, the Marquis of Northrup, has spent lifetimes hiding his primal nature from London society. But now a vicious killer threatens to expose his secrets. Ian must step out of the shadows and protect the beautiful, fearless Daisy, who awakens in him desires he thought long dead. As their quest to unmask the villain draws them closer together, Daisy has no choice but to reveal her own startling secret, and Ian must face the undeniable truth: Losing his heart to Daisy may be the only way to save his soul.

Truly excited for this book, Callihan did an amazing job with Ember and Firelight with hints of Beauty and the Beast and now I'm curious on what fairy tale this will be based on. Callihan satiates my need for some historical romance laced with the supernatural.

He won’t be denied

Trehan Daciano, known as the Prince of Shadows, has spent his life serving his people, striking in the night, quietly executing any threat to their realm. The coldly disciplined swordsman has never desired anything for himself—until he beholds Bettina, the sheltered ward of two of the Lore’s most fearsome villains.

She’s bound to another

Desperate to earn her guardians’ approval after a life-shattering mistake, young Bettina has no choice but to marry whichever suitor prevails—even though she’s lost her heart to another. Yet one lethal competitor, a mysterious cloaked swordsman, invades her dreams, tempting her with forbidden pleasure.

A battle for her body and soul

Even if Trehan can survive the punishing contests to claim her as his wife, the true battle for Bettina’s heart is yet to come. And unleashing a millennium’s worth of savage need will either frighten his Bride away—or stoke Bettina’s own desires to a fever-pitch.

We've got another new series from Kresley Cole! She sure is one busy lady. Shadow's Claim is a spin-off from her super popular Immortals After Dark series. This new paranormal romance series follows the royal bloodline of Dacia, the mysterious Vampire kingdom set within "The Lore" (mytholigical world in the Immortals After Dark series). Royalty and Vampires? Count me in!

  4. Both books look great. I haven't read book 1 (Firelight) yet so I'll have to put that on my TBR list.
I'm super eager to read Shadow's Claim. I'm curious, it is a different series yet still part of the Lore. Do you think some of the characters from the Immortals After Dark series will make guest appearances? :)

    Here is my WoW.
