Big & Small
- No surprise for Vampire Diaries fans as the popular CW show leads the Teen Choice Awards 2012 with six nominations. The male leads, Ian Somerholder and Paul Wesley go head to head for Choice TV Actor while Nina Dobrev and Kat Graham vie for Choice TV Actress. Check the list of nominees here.
- Meanwhile, you might have heard that Alan Ball is developing a new series for Cinemax titled Banshee. However the series is far from supernatural, as the title implies, but rather it's a crime drama set in Banshee, Penn. about an ex-con and master thief who assumes the identity of the town's sheriff. New Zealand actior Antony Starr plays the lead role, Lucas Starr. Click here for the latest update.
- Get ready Ladies, because the film, MAGIC MIKE, will be hitting the big screen this summer that will have you drooling, squealing and thinking you've died and gone to Hunk Heaven. The dramedy set in the world of male strippers, stars Channing Tatum (G.I. JOES) in the title role which is loosely based on his real-life experiences. Before his glamorous life as a Hollywood actor, Tatum was thrusting his hips and gyrating across a stage while women were stuffing his thong with dollar bills. The film follows Mike as he takes a young dancer, The Kid (Alex Pettyfer, I am Number Four) under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of partying, picking up women, and making easy money. As if Tatum and Pettyfer weren't enough to get your heartbeat racing, MAGIC MIKE, also stars Matt Bomer (White Collar), Matthew McConnaghy and Joe Manganiello (True Blood). So start planning with your girlfriends for a ladies night because MAGIC MIKE will be hitting theaters on June 29. You could also throw in a few extra dollar bills in your pocket just in case you totally get lost in the film and have the urge to throw some money around.
