Waiting on Wednesday #5

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

Braine:
The Mayans aren’t the only ones with a 2012 prophecy… Long before recorded history, there was a warrior so feared that everyone trembled before his wrath. Only a brutal betrayal by the one closest to him could defeat him. But not even death was the end of a man so strong.

The Time Untime approaches…
Kateri Avani has been plagued her entire life with dreams she doesn’t understand. Images of places she’s never been and of a man she’s never seen. Her quest for answers has driven her to Las Vegas where she hopes to finally silence the demons in her mind.

What she never anticipates is coming face to face with the warrior who has haunted her her entire life.

Ren Waya came back from the dead to keep the prophecy he began from coming true and ending the world. For thousands of years, he has fought the same evil that once possessed him. But now that evil has brought back the one person he can’t fight. The one person who once held the most sacred part of him.

His heart.

But if he doesn’t kill Kateri, the deadliest of evils will reemerge and destroy everyone else on the planet. It was a sacrifice he made once.

Will he be able to make it again?

Cimmaron:
We are huge True Blood fans here at Talk Supe so I figured I needed to mention the next Sookie Stackhouse (Southern Vampire Series) which will be out May 1st.

With Felipe de Castro, the Vampire King of Louisiana (and Arkansas and Nevada), in town, it’s the worst possible time for a body to show up in Eric Northman’s front yard—especially the body of a woman whose blood he just drank.

Now, it’s up to Sookie and Bill, the official Area Five investigator, to solve the murder. Sookie thinks that, at least this time, the dead girl’s fate has nothing to do with her. But she is wrong. She has an enemy, one far more devious than she would ever suspect, who’s out to make Sookie’s world come crashing down

So  tell us what books are you anxiously waiting for?

    1. Vain - THe DH series is on my TBR too but there are SO MANY! I'm scared to tackle them all. I'd have to take like 1-2 weeks off work just to read them all. LOL!

I agree....this Sookie book better be good. I haven't been that pleased with the last couple ones. I hate how Sookie and Eric were kinda on the limb in the last book. I'm 100% Team Northman and if Sookie goes back to Bill I will SCREAM! HAHAHA.

  7. I'm starting to think it's a sin that I haven't read a Sookie Stackhouse book before LOL x)

Both of those books sound FANTASTIC, you two! I love how each of them sound like intense action books with kick-butt heroines and a plot that would be super-fun to follow. That makes them two books that I'd definitely enjoy reading too! ;) I definitely need to look into these soon -- thanks so much for sharing! <3

  9. Yes, Sookie!!! I hope its better than the last one. I was very disappointed in all the antique shopping and shopping for shorts at Walmart, etc. I'm ready for more action (of the ERIC variety!!!).

Here's my WoW: Goldilox's WoW: Penguin Edition!

    1. OMG! Yes...the last couple Sookie books haven't been all that great. I she has 2 more books after this so I HOPE that the Sookie series goes it with a BANG. I didn't like where Sookie and Eric's relationship was in the last book. I 100% Team Eric so Harris better not mess things up for them. I'd hate it if Sookie goes back to Bill.
